So you’ve seen all those setup videos and images. But how much would they actually cost? How much would it cost to have a great looking gaming setup?

In this post, we’ll be covering some things you can add to your setup to make it look awesome. The approach I’m going to take is from nothing to amazing.

The first thing, what does the ground look like? You don’t want some nasty carpet that’s molding like the school floors. You need to decide if you like a carpeted floor, wooden or laminated. A solid wooden floor could easily cost $1,000+ depending on the size of your room. So if you don’t have that kind of money, a laminated floor is a great option. If you live in a cold climate like the UK, you’ll probably want to go for a carpeted floor. As this will help you trap in the heat.

Next up is the wall. To be honest, I think wallpaper is a risky move in trying to go with a gaming setup. I think what will work best is a pure white colored paint because white reflects other colors and will help your setup to stand out. A can of paint should cost around $30 depending on the size of your room.

If you game on PC, you’re going to play at a desk. I would recommend getting a desk that’s as big as possible. And of course, the size of your desk is going to depend on the size of your room. 60 inches if a good amount. It will be able to fit multiple monitors, your PC tower, ,  other items. A good looking PC case is an underrated item. Your computer is probably going to be the very heart of your setup. It’s going to be the thing that allows you to play your games. So why not make it look good? You can easily get a nice white case under $100. If you don’t want white, you can go with another color. I’m just bringing up the color white as it’s a safe bet. Make sure to throw in a few LED lights inside of the case to really take it to the next level.

Cable management is incredibly overlooked. If your cable management game sucks, it’s going to bring down the entire look and feel of your setup. You can easily get some good velcro ties and sleeves to help with cable management. I would recommend a cable management basket which mounts under the desk. This way you can easily throw in your wires and power strips super easily.

Add some personality in there, by having some merchandise of your favorite games. For example, some of my favorite games are Spiderman 2, The Witcher 3, Bioshock Infinite, MW2, Saints Row 2, and God of War. Wouldn’t it be great to have the Blades of Chaos from God of War? You could just hang them up in your room. This will add a nice personal touch to your setup. Merchandise price can vary from just a few bucks to hundreds of dollars

In conclusion, a solid gaming setup will probably cost you at least $2,000 if we include a PC and monitor. As well as the additional room costs.
